Description:

This unit is the first of two in a series which requires students to produce an industry based honours research dissertation.  The purpose of the unit is to train students in the use of research methods and their applications to a research question or problem related to industry.  Students are required to produce a critical review of the literature in thier field of study and identify a research topic.  Appropriate research methodologies are then applied to obtain data and information which is reported in findings.  By the end the project, students should have developed the ability to conceive, design, implement and evaluate a research based study.
