SCI5130 Environmental Impact Assessment Practice

Description:

This unit examines the role of environmental impact assessment as part of an environmental decision making process in land use planning, resource management and development projects. The legislative and administrative processes for environmental impact assessment and procedures are investigated and experience is gained in the practice of environmental impact assessment. This unit aims to provide students with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills necessary to predict and evaluate impacts including the requirements of community consultation.
