Description:
This unit introduces students to information technology project management. The fundamentals of strategic and operational planning for major software and IT projects are examined. The processes associated with developing and formulating project briefs and documenting the needs and requirements of users are explored. Tools and techniques that can be used for capturing and optimising users and stakeholder needs are also examined. The unit also provides insight into how new technologies and software can be used as an aid to managing information technology projects.
