This unit is designed to analyse the process of sport industry public policy-making in a range of governmental systems. The impact of government policies, demography, technology, education, economics and international sport organisations on this process are assessed. In addition, a range of issues impacting the sport industry is evaluated in terms of their impact on sport and leisure policy development. These include; sport trends, youth participation, elitism, social justice, deviance, violence, drugs, media, corporatisation, commercialisation and other contemporary issues. | |||
