This unit applies an interdisciplinary approach to current issues and controversies in nutritional health. The political, economic, psychological, cultural and scientific aspects of recent nutrition developments will be analysed from the perspective of personal, community and national health. The role of regulatory authorities, media forces and technological developments in the modern industrialised community will be evaluated in terms of impact on diet and individual health consequences.
