Description:

This unit examines the physiology, common issues and physiotherapy management of the antenatal and postnatal woman. Incontinence for men and women and sexual impairment due to pain, surgery or disability, will also be considered. Students will be made aware of resources and supports for the therapist and for the client. Professional risk, obligations, rights and responsibilities of the patient and the physiotherapist will be reviewed.
