Description:

This unit introduces the key issues involved in the design and management of hospitality facilities. Emphasis is given to maintenance, energy use, occupational health and safety, and conservation. The greening of the hotel industry and the growing importance of waste management in the hospitality industry, with the imperative need to conserve resources and minimise waste are additional areas underlined in this unit.  The efficient use and opertion of mechanical components of hospitlaity properties forms the foundation of this unit.
