Description:

The unit presents methodologies for designing custom or semi-custom VLSI circuits for digital signal processing (DSP) applications, such as video compression, digital audio, wireless communication systems, radar imaging, and biomedical signal processing. It describes several high-level architectural transformations that can be used to design families of architectures for a given algorithm, and the design of algorithm structures for various DSP operations such as filtering, DCT and wavelet transformations.
