The Graduate Certificate of Education stream in Middle Schooling offers in-service teachers an opportunity to upgrade their skills and qualifications in teaching young adolescents in upper primary, lower secondary, and middle schools.  The Graduate Certificate incorporates innovative approaches to teacher education, and integrates coursework with professional experience.

 

COURSE LOCATION AND MODE OF STUDY

The course is available by part-time study on Joondalup campus, and some units may be flexibly delivered.

 

SPECIAL ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Admission to this course requires the completion of a four year teaching qualification or its equivalent.  Three year trained teachers with a minimum of five years experience may apply for special entry.

 

COURSE STRUCTURE

Students are required to complete four units (4 x 15 = 60 Credit Points) from the units listed below, at least two of which must be core units.
